It was not so long ago, that people used to anxiously wait for those special music albums which were released during the festive season of Durga Puja/ Navratri or Diwali. This was the time sans internet. The time when people wished friends and family in person or dropped in  handwritten greeting cards, or even actually buy audio cassettes to listen to the newly released music. this was the time when we lived happily without Facebook, Twitter or Youtube.

It is rare to find people who pursue two professions successfully and such that they excel in both at a level where they justify both their vocations. One such person is Singer Performer and Architect Samir Date.

A well known name in the music industry, Samir has been the playback singer for numerous hindi films like Parampara, Jazbaat, Fauj and more recently Emotional Atyachar and Hang Up. Samir is from a family of gifted musicians. His is the son of Ravi Date, a renowned music composer and his uncle is Arun Date, a very famous Marathi singer.

While rock music has made its entry in the Bollywood industry, Rock singer Suraj Jagan, the voice behind myriad of chartbuster songs like Give some Sunshine, Dil Dhadkane do, Jaa Chudail and many more will release his solo album “Back to My Future” in Mumbai.

On Monday September 12th, the music launch of Ra.One happened at Film City,Mumbai. King Khan made sure that the launch looked majestic and it sure did. SRK, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Vishal Shekhar gave some mind blowing performances at the event. Media and invitees were present from all over India. Star Network will air the event on September 18th.

India Celebrated it's 64th Independence Day this year and the musical trio "Shankar Ehsaan and Loy" celebrated 15 years of togetherness as music composers.It was time for double celebration for CNN IBN.They aired this special show on August 14th.

He has won our hearts as a singer, we have seen him as an actor...and now emerging as one of the best comedians...he is none other than our beloved Sonu Nigam.

Sonu Nigam's 38th birthday was on July 30th.We wish him all the best and more success in the coming years.
