Now that is an interesting topic. Is this really true? What do you think? If you are married, you must know about this. Research has shown that the more attractive a man is the less likely is he to be a faithful husband. This can be one of the very common reasons why marriages where the man is more handsome last for a shorter period of time as compared to the marriages where the woman is more beautiful.

Post Independance, monogamous marriages became the in-thing. India still remains a conservative society where the institution of marriage is considered sacred. Plus chastity on the part of a woman is highly rated. The woman with a history of pre marital relations with a man will have less chances of getting married in the future.
It is my Sunday ritual to call up my parents back home in India. I can clearly hear the joy in their voice and know how eagerly they are waiting for my call. Its been nearly a decade since my parents have been staying alone, since all three of us (my 2 sisters and me) have been married and moved away from our hometown. In the beginning it was for studies and then better job prospects that we had to leave our Family home.
I intended to write an article on love and friendship but honestly I have no idea where to begin. The truth is do we ourselves know where our friendship ends and love begins? I am not talking about the sex part here; love is much more than mere physical attraction. It is about liking someone in a manner that you feel you can spend your whole life with that person; it may not embody anything physical in it. You might be captivated by the personality of a person who is not at all physically appealing to you. But you are ready to take the next step. You do believe that the sex part will come through.
I have recently started watching a Hindi TV series called Ladies Special. I like it cause its refreshingly realistic compared to other sagas dished out these days.
In spite of the title sounding so ominous most of you must have guessed. I am talking about marriage and that too specifically arranged marriages. Recently, a few of my friends have decided to venture on this well trodden path and the experiences that they shared with me prompted me into putting this post.
Don't get thrown off by the title of the post...It isn't about Raveena Tandon..the forgotten Bollywood Actress...Its about A-la Maid or Au-pair.
If you still haven't figured it out, let me elaborate. Its about Maids and Domestic Helpers in India (Calling them servants is considered politically incorrect in today's world).
