Built in 491, Hanging Monastery is an Architectural Wonder of the World, as it hangs on the West Cliff of Jinxia Gorge more than 50 meters above the ground.

Coorg also called as Kodagu, is the name derived from the local version “Kodavu”. The people of coorg are called Kodavas. The name Kodava means, where Kod means “give” and ava means “mother, in short mother Kaveri. The kaveri river is the most famous river that flows from Karnataka.

The journey was someone’s dream; the trip was unlikely filled with nostalgia, the known valley was exuding extreme bliss, those faces outside the window screen had unique smiles, the whispering meadows kept accompanying us. The captivating Assamese sojourn starts from here…

Finally we are going to Kaziranga National Park - It’s the place where my dad started his career as a Range Officer, the place which is located in the heart of extreme darkness. One horned rhinos, elephants, tigers, wild pigs, varieties of bird species dwells here. The sanctuary is a natural treasure -unexplored and unrecognised.

Plan: To see all 8 North EASTERN STATES- explore fabrics: understand the weaves of North East India- collect weaves for the next MORA collection.
Plan that turned out to be: a lifetime of experiences in these 3 months… could hardly cover 4 states… faced flood politics… fought against biggest textile threat – synthetic which has replaced cotton completely… no cotton plantation… extreme poverty… life in a village as a villager… govt. Goons… and a whole journey of emotions all alone in North East India.
