You're about to indulge in your midday, mid-afternoon or evening snack. Did you measure or weigh out your snack? Isn't it a hassle to pull out those measuring cups or a scale to make sure you're on track. Forget those -- by now you're an expert at eyeballing it, aren't ya! NOT!!! Give me a break... Who are you trying to fool.

For example: Cereal. Do you really eat the measured recommended serving of 1/2 cup? What about a 1/4 cup of Almonds or 1 cup of Yogurt etc etc. If you're like me, you've gotten lazy over time and can't be bothered to measure or weigh your snacks and meals. However, I have the solution -- Measure Up Bowls! These bowls are available in two different sizes, Classic and Small Size. By using Measure Up Bowls, you can finally take the guesswork out of portion control.

The Classic Bowl measures portions from 1/2 cup up to 2 cups. The Classic can be used for cereal, soups, pastas, rice, chili, and anything you eat out of a bowl. In fact, I actually eat out of the Classic Bowl.

The Smaller bowl measures portions from 1/4 cup and 1/2 cup up to 3/4 of a cup. The Small Bowl is perfect for high fat calorie dense foods such as chips, ice cream, nuts, and granola, as well as other small snacks.

The markings inside the bowls are visible but discreet. Most people won't even realize that they are measuring cups. The white porcelain bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe. These bowls have been designed with the intent of permanently changing your lifestyle habits, and not to be just another quick fix. By adding The Measure Up Bowls into your daily routine, they can assist you in losing or maintaining your goal weight.

Definitely check out http://www.measureupbowl.com and you'll find a tab that's marked "What is a Portion of". This is a tool to help you establish how much food you're taking in, and is just a small sample of some measurements and intake. Another great tab on the site is Menu's, in which a nutritionist developed two plans: 1. Low-Sugar / Heart Healthy Plan 2. Weight Management Plan. This a great starting plan to get you back on track or to help you maintain your goal weight. The menus are changed out frequently to make sure you don't become bored with the meals.
