Posted in

The hot and humid season leaves all of us tired and looking for options to cool our senses. To help beat the heat, our fashion expert gives some tips to let off the heat and enjoy the season with full swing and zealous.

With the season at its peak, we all want to beat the heat and move out with fashion in sync. However, the scorching het compels us to be in limit or sty at home as the high degree temperature is taking a toll on health, fashion and more. However, giving some tips on how to beat the heat fashion designer Abhishek Dutta steps in to make their life happy and stylish.

Makeup and Hair: When it comes to wearing makeup in the heat, the saying "less is more" really proves to be true. Try and use makeup that has minimal oils to avoid an extra shiny face, and keep a powder compact handy to touch up throughout the day.

Perhaps the most obvious style tip to beat the heat is to throw your Hair up in a messy bun or a slick backed pony-tail. For a classy look you could also pull your hair up in a pony-tale. Take the pony, fold it over, and pin making a bun that is timeless and classic.

What to wear: When trying to avoid experiencing heat induced illness, the best thing to do is wear clothes that are light. Materials highly recommended are light weight cottons and silk chiffon's. Also, when heading out for a hot summer night, a great way to beat the heat is to wear backless or nearly backless dresses.

Prints & Colours: A lot of miniature floral prints, foliage prints and graphical prints are very hot this season. Brighten up your cupboard with a lot of neon colours (Asian-inspired bamboo yellow-green, orange popsicle, berry purples, fuchsia pink and raspberry), pastels (lapis, canary, macaroon, quince petal) a lot of ivory to beat the heat.

Silhouettes: The silhouettes to look out for are futuristic. Vintage is also another hot new trend this summer, 1950s and the flapper look of the 1920s are making a come back. The exposed midriff look is another trend to be followed, the key is to keep the belly button wrapped and exposing just the skin below the bandeau.

Footwear: When it comes to the summer the most obvious shoe trends that come to mind are peep toe pumps, wedges and gladiators. Sometimes, trying to walk around wearing your favorite stilettos can lead to exhaustion. Gladiators made their presence known a few years ago and are a style that is not going away any time soon. Not only are gladiators comfortable, but they can also make the perfect day into night item as well.
