So here it is with the beginning of the New Year, award season has begun in full swing. Stayed up late night to get the glimpse of the Hollywood’s finest at the Golden Globes award function and like every year was awed at the “SHOW” that was put up. More so this time the celebrity mom’s that took my breath away and were the show stoppers on the red carpet.
My favorite was “the mom of six”,Angelina Jolie who glamored the red carpet with champagne satin Versace gown with a dramatic red accent accessoried with none other than Brad Pitt!
The dusty lavender gorgeous Gucci dress of Jessica Alba looked amazing with her skin tone and the bronze makeup….wow…who would say she is just after her second baby
Yes, now we can all go on about their exercise routine, the aesthetic surgeries they might have undergone ….but Botox or not…they just look great after giving birth. Then, there was Madonna that I guess just no one can beat…..Not a line on her face!
Well I know that I can’t compare myself to them, but guess, with me, its that time of life when one has to start caring for those so called smile lines and the crow’s toe which over the years has turned into crows feet Pressing and pulling on the face skin like that of an unmade bed does not help in hiding those lines and it remains…like a dead bird on the side of the road. Its all a part of growing up….yes sounds better than aging. With years, ofcourse I am also getting better, more confident, smarter and generally more satisfied with life but the evidence remains, me smiling back at myself every morning in front of the mirror.
The look at these celebrity moms made me rush to my pharmacy store and try out those anti -aging creams that the sales women are trying to sell me for quite some time now. Well guess should have understood then…the time has come. One thing I felt good about after spending a fortune there on different creams and serums is that for the record, 35 is too late to start with anti aging, so should be thankful that survived without one until now.
Anti-aging, Cell therapies, Botox (ouch …just the name is so painful, how do they go through all this?) might help to some extent….but feeling good about oneself can make a person look good too. When you feel good, it shows and you look good.
Let yourself feel good, by looking around to see things that are working for you. When you feel good, you will do good things for yourself. Be nice to yourself...take time out for you and do things to make you feel and look good. This can make a positive difference in your attitude and opinion too. Yes and feeling good just doesn’t happen….it takes some effort to do the same from one’s part. Wow…I just came up a with a New Year resolution- no matter what…Feel good about yourself! Now how long will that last…well lets see…..until I see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a gorgeous designer Anarkali or the hot mom Malaika Arora Khan dancing away at one of the upcoming awards nights.
Well atleast no one can beat me at breaking a resolution so soon…ATTITUDE did I say...
