With fashion changing its colours, fashion savvy too are changing their tastes and styles. Nude is 'in', and is making for the perfect choice this season. Be it makeup or clothes, it is time to flaunt 'nudes' and go trendy. Designers, stylists gave some tips and styles to go nude this season.
The just concluded fashion extravaganza had a new trend on the ramp. Nude fashion is becoming hot among the fashion lovers. As every fashion diva knows with new season come new styles, this season too has a new trend rolling.
"Nudes have been around for a while, longer than any other trend cycle. Though it has been a quicker cycle than other trends, the global influence on nudes is stronger than ever. In India, a niche segment would patronise this trend flawlessly; though an occasional faux pas is inevitable, as nudes aren't meant for all complexions. In makeup, nudes are best complimented with dark or heavy eye makeup. It's easier to adopt this style in the form of accessories like bags and shoes rather than apparel. If cleverly paired and styled with colour to compliment the nude look, the final outcome can be a stunning success," feels Jewellyn Alvares, Head of Product Sourcing and Engineering, Pavers England.
Where there has been clothes, shoes, bags, attires making the trend in nude, nude-make up too has been a favorite among the fashion conscious. They can mix and match the trend with nude make-up and bright attire or accessories.
"Nude faces give the illusion of an unmade, natural face with high shine glossy neutral or pink lips. You can also give neutral lipstick shades a little extra glow with gold-hued gloss," explains Simmi ."There will be bright, vibrant colours, of course, she further added, but toned-down versions of neon shades that were hot last summer will be back," she adds.
Luminous face with just a hint of color, with either a focus on soft eyes with sheer pastel colors and well-defined brows; bronzer for a sun-kissed glow on the cheeks and eyes; or metallic and sparkling shadows in lighter shades paired with soft pink, coral or nude shades on the lips. Would do wonders for you in this summer.
Neutral flesh tones have been popular in footwear and makeup over the past several seasons, with nude lip colour and eye shadow blending into the wearers skin tone. Nudes are now trendy in apparels too. its a popular color story this spring summer in both indian and western outfits. soft flesh tones, earthy colors with light hue and light neutrals are popular color choices in saris, dresses, trousers and jump suits.
"Since nudes are considered neutral colours, they go well when combined with other colours in an outfit. One could also mix nudes with black and darker neutral tones like brown, navy and gray. or take bright contrasts like blood red , magenta, turquoise as highlights in accessories, trims and embroidery. It is important to pick the right nude fabrics, light and breezy fabrics work best, body snug and tight nude colored outfits would not be recommended. Interesting drapes in dresses and saris and kaftans could be popular choices," explains designer Pam Mehta.
The shade is not only popular on the Indian lands but it is a very 'in' trend in western countries too. Hollywood actor Jeniffer Aniston was also seen wearing nude sandals from Bally Switzerland again complimenting her dark shade geometric pattern dress.
Designer and director Fashionatclick.com, Manvi Singh suggests, "Spring/Summer 2012 has definitely got the nude and pastel shades in fashion, with the luxury brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton and Valentino following the rule of "bare minimal" on their runway, the high street brands were quick to capture the trend and give a variety of beige, creams and fawn colours in dresses, bags, scarves and shoes. Nude is the way to be this season.
Designer Jyoti Sharma says, "The nude dress is the new code of the sophistication. Nude is one of the hottest colour of the season epically if you wear it black leather belt which highlights the woman figure on the waist and establishes it authority. Long legs are a must to wear the dress with socks as you see on the runway. The nude dress seems to be designed in order to reveal the face and the body of the woman who wears it."
Having been the trend for the season, the style is making waves in men’s wear too. Jackets, shirts, tuxedos, shorts, chester, shoes in nude shades too are popular among men.
