Suraj Jagan - the ‘Rock Star’ in Bollywood playback

Since the release of the Bollywood soundtrack ‘7 Khoon Maaf’, singer Suraj Jagan is being praised by both, audiences and  critics for his energetic vocals on the hard rock track ‘Dil Dil Hai’.
 

The song has been composed by the multi talented Vishal Bharadwaj , and lyrics penned by the legendary Gulzar. With ‘Dil Dil Hai’ from 7 Khoon Maaf, Suraj Jagan is being hailed as the ‘Rock Star’ in Bollywood playback.
 
The 2009 Film ‘Rock On’, introduced the ‘Rock’ genre to mainstream Bollywood. Since then there has been an increase of ‘Rock’ based songs various Bollywood films.

 ‘Dil Dil Hai’ from 7 Khoon Maaf bridges the gap between ‘Hard Rock’ & Bollywood. The youth all over the country have responded to this song with excitement as this is the genre that was missing in Bollywood films. 
 

 

Suraj Jagan has previously sung a Hard Rock song called ‘ Zehreelay’ for the film Rock On and even performed the song in the film where he played a small cameo role. The song has developed a cult status on college campuses all over the country and is one of the most requested songs at Suraj’s concert performances.
 
Suraj’s versatility has been proven by him singing softer songs  like ‘ Give me some sunshine’  ( 3 Idiots ) & Sadka Kiya ( I hate luv storys ) to Hard Rock songs like Zehreelay ( Rock On )and now Dil Dil Hai ( 7 Khoon Maaf ) .
 
 He is also known as one of the pioneers of the 90’s Rock music movement in India. His singing career spans 21  years of experience which now includes Bollywood Playback for 3 Idiots, 7 Khoon Maaf, Patiala House, I Hate Luv Storys, Karthik Calling Karthik, Johnny Gaddaar , Rock On etc.
 
Suraj Jagan has also been a part of well known Rock Bands including Dream Out Loud, Chakraview,  and  Krysys.
